Carta de España UHBE Centro, Castellon

Castellón, 24th of July 2011

Dear masters Thay Thuan and Co Hai:

In her last trip to Spain in March, Mrs Chi Hai suggested that we should pick a month to have the courses in our Center, so we have them every year on the same date. We think it’s a great idea. We think that September would be a good month. We don’t know if it is a bit to rush or still possible to receive an instructor this September. The thing is that we have 20 persons interested in doing the level 1 and 2 course and 6 other persons interested in doing level 3. Maybe if it is possible to have an instructor by the end of September we could organize it. If it is not possible we could do it next March.

Mrs Chi Hai told us that she probably won’t be coming back as the instructor of our courses. We understand the reasons. It’s more reasonable to have English speaking instructors, so that the translations are easier and the courses less time-consuming and also its better if they live closer to Europe. We are sure that the instructors from Toronto, or any other place you consider, would be wonderful as all the other ones we have met from other parts of the world, in that level of Teaching.I think that both Mrs Chi Hai and Vina know how much we love them, and how grateful we are for all they have done for us all this years. They know that in Spain they have a home (many homes in fact) and that they can count on us if they ever need anything.

But this letter is especially for you, respected masters, for you to know how we feel about them. Mrs Chi Hai and Vina have been a “gift” for us. We appreciate that you have allow them to come to Spain to take care of this Center of Europe from Calgary. Their presence have helped us and also enriched us. Not only with their words but also with their acts and the way they are, they have set an example for all of us. They have been extraordinarily generous, humble, kind, patient and hard-working. They radiate happiness, serenity, wisdom and love. They have given us important lessons through all these years. They have showed us, always with love...and sometimes with a little “slap” from Mrs Chi Hai! The path we should follow. It’s hard for us to imitate them but we are trying.

We are aware of the effort it is for them to make such a long, tiring and expensive travel. Also we understand the fact that they have to live with us for a couple of weeks, and we have such a different culture and behaviour. Moreover, the fact that we don’t speak the same language is a big inconvenient. But they never showed tiredness, they were always calm and cheerful answering to our innumerable questions and solving our problems with fairness and justice.

We are going to miss our dear Chi Hai, who will always be in our hearts. We are going to miss her also in the kitchen offering coffee, good Vietnamitan food or candies to all of us. And we are also going to miss Vina, so smart and practical and caring for every detail. She was always looking happy, even when she spent the whole day translating, surrounded by all of us without letting her rest.

In October it is going to be four years since the inauguration of the Center in Spain. These years haven’t been easy for our Center but we believe that we are learning and improving little by little. The teachings of The Great Master Dasira Narada have transformed us and that has been possible thanks to you as you inaugurated this Center in October 2007. And thank you for allowing us to have our dears Chi Hai and Vina.

Thank you very much from all of us.
